"Hanfu economy" and Hanfu spirit
The price of Hanfu
varies from hundreds to thousands of RMB. Different people who have different
income and consumption tendencies can buy their own Hanfu. Although, there is an
increasing number of people who buy Hanfu, Hanfu is still a niche product.
This picture says
that never say that we do not have the cloth to wear, we have the same robe.
As for the perspective of cost, due to
the great difference in the fabric cost of Hanfu, the high cost of a single set
of fabric, design and publicity, the price of Hanfu has reached a high level,
even 10 thousand RMB (about 5855 RM). However, there are some merchants who
hype up the price and disturb the market order because of the original design.
According to iiMedia (2019) in 2018,
there were 815 accessible merchants on Taobao which is an increase of 160 over
the previous year. Totally, Hanfu industry is driven by demand, and now is
moving towards industrialization and marketization.
At present, Hanfu merchants have spread
all over China. According to iiMedia, in 2018, there are 14.2% of merchants in
Zhejiang province followed by Guangdong province, Jiangsu province and Sichuan
province, which account 14.0%, 13.5% and 10.6%. Besides, not only the Hanfu,
but also other ornaments have a great market to expand. Consumers will buy many
pieces of jewellery, shoes and so on to make themselves look better.
Many consumers think that wearing Hanfu
is a symbol of traditional Chinese culture. They hope that one day, Hanfu can
be causal clothing and everyone can build up right awareness toward Hanfu. As
consumers, they are also willing to buy the cheap and fine products. Some of
the consumers identify that wearing Hanfu will increase their self-identity.
They find it comfortable to wear Hanfu in their daily life.
I am also a Hanfu lover. To be honest, at
first, I wore Hanfu is because Hanfu is beautiful. But now, I hope I can
understand the culture behind Hanfu. I also hope that more people can accept it
and wear it in the future.

Hanfu gradually becomes popular in recent years. When I walk on the street, I see many young girls wearing Hanfu confidently. Many annual cultural festivals are held by some organisations to spread Chinese traditions. I wonder whether there is special Hanfu style designed for males as well. Hope one day Hanfu would integrate into our daily life~
回复删除As a Chinese, there has always been a knot in my heart - that is, the inheritance of Hanfu. Nowadays, in addition to films and TV plays, few people in China can wear Hanfu. Not only because of the high price, but also because of the complex composition of Hanfu. But in contrast, Japan and South Korea do a very good job in inheriting traditional clothing. Korean traditional clothing can also be seen in movies and TV plays. Japanese kimono is an adaptation of Chinese kimono, but now people can often see people wearing kimono on the streets at major festivals or weekends in Japan.
